Just getting back from the Big South. Dave Frank, Marty Bell, Scott Mc Corvey, and I paddled it from the source (Poudre Lake, via Trail Ridge road). We put on yesterday afternoon, spent the night at the Chapin creek confluence, and ran down the BS earlier today. The level today was medium-low in the morning, and medium in the afternoon. Today's level felt like to 2ft on the old gauge. Also, the gate was closed as of Saturday when we dropped our shuttle vehicle at the take-out.
There is one new log in Cool World. The big river-wide log in the pinch at Prime Time is still there, as well as the wood in the Rush after the big river-wide log jam above Curtain Call. Everything else was clean.
Lets hope they open the gate soon!
